Default Floorboard Extension Fitment Questions

Hey All,

Just bought a 2008 Electra Glide Classic. It has a center stand (not sure if its factory or not). I haven't even taken delivery yet. Hopefully this week. Looking for the most extension I can get. I searched around and couldn't pin it down. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Most extension kits may not work with a center stand or rather, installing rider extensions may not allow the center stand to fully retract.

I know that wassup8687 here on the forum has a wheeldock center stand and soos' extensions, but I don't know what size extensions he has or how well it retracts. You might try PM'ing him.

I had a center stand which was Harley's display stand that attached to the front of the frame that would not work with the extensions.
I cant see why it would not work with a center attaches to the cross member.

Ok well I'll grab a set anyways and see what I can do. I figure its more important to be comfortable when riding then having a center stand. Thanks Guys

When you guys talk "floorboard extensions", what are you meaning? The extended footboards that are positioned more forward for the long legged riders, or the extensions on the bracket mounting bolts to set the footboards out to the side further?

Out to the side, but there is a kit to kick them forward 2 inches also. then if thats not enough you can go with extended boards from Kury or those banana boards.

OK thanks! I have previously put Pro Pad extensions on both my rider and passenger footboard brackets, but haven't had a chance to actually ride it to see how it feels. However, on a long trip I took last year on the bike my feet felt like they were going to fall off the footboards so hopefully these extensions will be more comfortable for me now. As a benefit I can now fold both rider footboards fully up and not do damage to the exhaust heat shields while doing it.
