Most likely just the compensator nut came loose and grenaded the primary. The engine may not be hurt. I had one to come loose a few years ago and I agree...it sounded horrible. If you keep riding it, it will eventually break through the primary and oil will go everywhere....

I was reading some screamin' eagle forum the other day and there were several complaints of oil lines to the oil cooler leaking, breaking, spraying, etc. That might be what happened since it left the oil slick.

 

He's fine, the bike is under warranty. Not inprovement were installed.

Problem, oil line split????? No one knows how, picked something up, faulty line???????

No damage to motor.............. also HD extends motor warranty to 30k due to oil loss..........

I hope you mean 30K miles or two years, whichever is greater. Suppose you put 30K miles in less than two years

 

My Bro in Law, will probally average 1k a year on his bike..... so it should be a 30 year warranty.........
