Those of you that are considering shorter windshields should be aware that you will get more wind from the sides. This is because the shield from most if not all mfg. narrows more quickly from the sides than the taller windshields.
If you're not doing alot of time on the highway it's no bid deal. On long touring rides it can be iritating.
I bought a recurve that was 2 1/2" shorter and it was ok (marginal) for wind over the top but wind from the side was a bummer.
