Default Harley Signature vs. Mustang solo

There hasn't been a new seat thread on the forum in oh, at least 15 minutes, so I thought I would start one.

I am buying a solo seat w/ backrest for my 2009 Road King. I have read a lot of favorable comments about the Mustang and I had my mind all set on buying one, but recently I started looking at the Harley Signature solo.

To my suprise, the Harley seat is actually cheaper, and it looks like it might have better back support. This is the most important feature for me.

It is hard to tell from just a picture, but the Harley seat appears to rise higher, and there is no gap between the seat and the backrest like there is on the Mustang.

Just wondering if anyone has the Harley, and how you like it. Particularly anyone w/ back problems.

Harley Seat on left. Mustang Seat on right.

I have a Mustang seat with the adj. backrest and love it. The back rest adj. up and down and fore and aft. In your pic of the Mustang seat the gap looks to be caused by the backrest being adj. up off the seat back. To fit me I have my backrest adj. up off the seat back almost 2".

You might appreciate that gap when its 100 degrees out lol. I had a mustang on my metric and loved it.

I've got the Mustang solo with backrest. i bought it primarily because it is slightly lower than the Harley version. I'm only 5' 7 and made my decision on ride height. In addition the Mustang backrest is adjustable where the Harly version is not. As far a comfort I really like the Mustang.

The only reason I bought Mustang solo with backrest is because Harley didn't and still doesn't offer a solo seat with backrest for an '07 RKC. Otherwise everything would be Halrey except the Rineharts.

I have the Signature series on my SG. I love the ride, but it sits me a little too high to flat foot the bike when stopped. I am looking at buying a Ultra seat to sit me a little lower in the saddle. I have lost the need for a solo since I leave the tour pak on most of the time.. May be selling my whole set(have passenger pillion) as well.
