Default Harbor Freight MC Jack

Just FYI....don't do it.....
I just bought this jack to lift my SG. It looked great in the store...can support 1500 LBs...was on sale for $140.00.....Looked great!!!!

Got it home..(still looked great) and once I tried to pump up the bike I knew something was wrong....

It was real hard to pump up .....
As the bike went up, the aluminum arms of the jack started to flex before my eyes....

I got her off the ground about 6 inches and gently touched the bike. The jacks arms would wiggle all over the place and the bike would sway....The jack is not made to support this weight as they advertise. Beware of this jack.

that's why the majority buys this one http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=2792 I just bought it. I almost bought the aluminum one you did, but liked the foot pump better so I can hold onto the bike while lifting. Glad I didn't buy it

Buy the metal HF one in the link above, it's a good jack for the bucks and will hold the weight of a touring bike no problem.

So you don't dare change both tires at the same time?

I meant to quote itchdogg above about the comment of the jackstands.

I think you are both wrong, I have one from pepboys, I bought 10 years ago for $40.00. Worked fine then and it works fine now.
