I don't think you can go wrong, I like the S/G, obviously, but the R/G catches my eye too! Seriously, you cannot go wrong.

if the RG came with a black/chrome powertrain, i'dve wanted it instead of the SG.

Thanks for all the input!
You all have touched on several points I have been debating, IE:

I love the black motor, solid paint of the SG. I do not like the single headlamp and cast wheels.
I love the wheels, cruise, wind protection of the RG. I do not like the stripe, extra front end weight.

I quess some of these can be changed or modified on either bike. I did ride both and like both. The fixed vs bar mounted fairing made no differance to me at speed. I felt no adverse wind problems on the SG. The RG did fell more planted or heavy all the time. I guess thats the extra 22lbs up front. The RG is slightly more cumbersome at slow speeds.

Well I am still up in the air?!?!?!?

My gut may be leaning RG, I do like the non cookie cutter look. There are ALOT of batwings out there.

I would say it depends on your riding....longer touring would favor the RG, but around town cruising would favor the SG. I ride an RK & do some shorter touring, but if I were to hit the open road, I would buy an RG.

The weight is only in your mind, I can execute a u turn in a 24 foot space. Absolutely no problems with slow speed manuvering. The fairing is mounted to the frame, not the bars, so when you turn it is like turning a Roadking. The extra weight would be more noticible on a Streetglide.

I have a SG and I love it, but whichever one you choose...

...make sure you change the front rotors to the floating rotors of your choice before you take delivery.
