Default Tired of getting ripped off

I have been ripped off three times on eBay with purchasing parts for my harley.

When I purchased parts they are not what they are suppose to be example

Ultra classic bars, were in fact Roadking bars.

inner fairing cap, with ignition, it was broken

inner fairing harness, said it was classic, in fact it was a road glide

it goes on and on, my point is beware of the rip off scam artist in Ebay.

Oh I need classic handlebars, I need the connection part of the bar to be around 14 inches not the 11 for a roadking or a softail.

Thanks, dave

I've used Ebay for years with good luck. I only use sellers with all or nearly all positive feedback and use Paypal with a credit card. That way you can dispute the charges if you have to. Hope you find your parts.

I guess you know that you can file a dispute with the seller right? It's a PITA, but at least you can get your money back.

I always make sure that the part numbers are specified in ad, that way it is easier to win a dispute. Got my money back on a set of SE mufflers that way.

Always look at the sellers feedback. Anything below 98% makes me want to read the negative comments. It's not hard to keep the feedback at 100%.

Just my opinion.

Lots of people getting ripped off daily on E-Bay. Even though theirs a dispute policy, everyone does not get reimbursed.
I personally think it's only good for buying someone else' crap. Which is exactly what I have done. I bid on and won a Mr. Hanky plush doll. If you don't watch Southpark, Mr Hankey is an imaginary "TURD" friend of one of the characters. So I bought Krap on E-Bay! And brag about it! Oh Yea!
I would rather drive halfway across the state to pick up something personally as opposed to buying sight unseen. But I'm just like that.
I Don't believe anything I read and only half of what I see on E-Bay

I was checking out the Bell Guy's E-Bay site and consider myself lucky that he is a local. I will be doing some business with him.

File a claim with paypal and give negative feedback after contacting them. This will usually make them change their mind.

Certainly not refering to the OP, but alot of times folks buy stuff thinking it is new when in fact the description clearly says used. There are some scammers out there, that's for sure. And, I think some folks don't really even know what they are selling. But, with the closing of a lot of the Idys in my area, it is hard to find stuff like handle bars, and other stuff. There was a day when you could walk into a shop and see stuff hanging on the walls ,and could put your hands on it. No more ,it seems. Just got to be careful out there. My business is on Ebay, and it is sometimes a struggle to make sure that what I am selling is listed with photos of every tiny imperfection .

I have only been riped off once on ebay and that because I forgot to check the "sellers rating". I got my money back but it took like three months and I couldn't order from somebody else because eBay said they had 30 or 60 days (I can't remember) to deliver the product.

I have sold a ton of stuff right here through the HDForum's classifieds and I bought several items here also. I always try to look here first.

and always use Pay Pal it's worth it.
