Exactly my case. Watch the feedback closely. A large quantity of feedback that is mostly positive, makes the odds in your favor. A low number with positive feedback can be a bad guy who simply switched identities to hide his bad feedback. I gotta be in a gambling mood to buy from a low number of feedbacks.

I have had years of good results using that simple logic.

Another weakness about buying from low numbers, they are sometimes too inexperienced and don't know how to pack well. Damaged parts are the result.

I have bought and sold on ebay, with good results, but there are those that are always trying to scam someone. Watch feedback rating and if there are unfavorable results, be sure to leave negative feedback and use paypal always.

Bought and sold hundreds of things and never had much problem. Sold thousands of dollars of coins i found, a few hundred dollars at a time and kept it quiet and private by selling on ebay. Only thing is, this was "treasure" i found legitimately. Could have been stuff i stole and no one would have known. Think about that, you don't know where the stuff you buy came from.
Got lots of good deals on bike parts. Only time i had to deal with an idiot was when i got a chrome HD hydraulic clutch assembly. I asked the seller to break it down for shipping because the braided line was still attached to the master cylinder and clutch cover. I was worried about the chrome getting scratched. He apparently took a crescent wrench to the clutch cover fitting and gouged the cover while at the same time stripping the threads in the cover. He then threw the chrome parts in the box unwrapped and loose. They were complete junk when i got them. Incredible. He sent a refund via paypal and it bounced for insufficient funds in bank. I got my money back from paypal and he got booted from ebay.
