Get the E-Glide. You'll spend more trying to turn a SG into a E-glide for the several trips a year. You'll never get any $ back on the upgrades you make to your SG and you'll definitely get a higher selling price or trade-in value from the E-glide that can be converted to a SG. Its actually a relatively easy call if you have any plans to use a TP.

The main differences you need to decide on is do you want the lollipop passing lamps - One of the first things my brother put on his 2007 SG. That riding in SC countryside at night was a little hairy. It took 1 trip around my neighborhood for me to realize how much I liked them on my EGC.
full size floorboards - Do make a difference.
passenger floorboards - Wife preferred them over the footpegs of my brother's SG.
and a higher seat height - Not that big of a deal.
- that's the main differences between the two as far as comfort wise. One can be changed to look like the other just weigh the difference as far as how much it will cost you to get the ammenities you would like to have.
I myself do not like the mirrors on the streetglide. - Brother liked them & I did not.

You also need to decide how much two up riding you're going to be doing. If you want your passenger to enjoy the ride, I'd go with the E-Glide. More travel in the rear suspension, better seat, tourpak for travel. If it's a looks thing, (and that's not bad either) then go with the Street Glide. Just one more opinion.
