Default Open face carbon fiber helmet recommendations

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good open-face carbon fiber helmet? Is there anything available other than the HJC? They are supposedly on close-out, but the prices aren't that great, and I'm also wondering what they'll be replaced with.

You ride a $20,000+ Harley = how much is your head worth??

I agree and support the freedom of choice on weather to wear or not wear a helmet - I fall into the catagory of - I will wear one...

If you are going to wear one - why not wear the best there is out there?

The best usually comes with a price..

OK, I will get off my soap box...

No arguments here -- but from the research I've done, the HJC helmets provide better protection than most of the higher-priced helmets.

I'm not looking for the cheapest helmet I can find. I'm looking for the best price on the best helmet I can find, without regard to brand names. (HJC manufactures Harley's helmets, BTW, but you'll pay Harley over a $100 premium for their version of the AC-3.)

I haven't been able to find any reviews on the AC-3 specifically, and haven't seen the new open-face carbon helmet from HJC.

I really like the carbon helmets, but there aren't really many choices out there yet. If there was a high-quality convertible carbon helmet, I'd seriously consider it -- but due to a dry-mouth probem, I need the ability to quickly get the chin guard area out of the way.

I have bought my last two helmets from the "helmet shop" in Daytona. Not sure if they carry your helmet - but I did find them to have the best prices around... Call for best prices.. I ended up with a Shoe 3/4 and love it...

Just checked the web site and called... they have them at $255 = not sure if thats a good price for you or not...

every helmet I have got from them includes free shipping...

That's a good price on that helmet. I've been looking for one as well. Good Christmas Present.
