I would use the intercom more than the CB. But I do ride in groups with my MC every month, and it would be beneficial to hear what everyone is saying. I also do not want the JM unit on the bars..

Guess I'm going with the J&M unit....

Still, gotta throw the BS flag on the dealer...or am I wrong.
Module part # is 76416-06C. Not sure what wiring will be needed.

I just did this upgrade on my 09 SG. I ride solo so I didn't need the intercom. I went with the HD module instead of the J&M because it is built in and doesn't mount on the handlebars and look aftermarket. Install is straight forward just time consuming. No need to reflash the radio on my 09. I do recommend using J&M headsets. They are superior to the HD units.

Here are all of the PN#'s needed:
Boom! Audio™ Music and Intercom Kit 77108-09 $379.99
Boom! Audio™ Bike-to-Bike (B2B) Communications Kit 76416-06C $299.99
Boom! Audio™ System Wiring Harness 70169-06 $129.95

Done the research. Parts are a little cheaper through MandM Parts than anywhere else, but still not very much. Maybe 150.00 total.

Thanks all, I think I'll order the parts and do it myself...it ain't rocket science.....
has anyone used the new boom audio como kit? looks like I won't have to change my console ( which I didn't want to do)...and I really don't need the intercom feature ( solo rode)....
Thanks again for the responses.

From the directions you do not have to change the console. The plug is a small receptacle that you glue to the tank near the crown of the seat. That's why I chose that kit over the console.

OK, I assume ( yeah I know) that you have installed the CB kit using the parts you listed.....how is it? did you do it yourself?
You can PM me with responses if you like.

No, I haven't. I was just pointing out that in the directions (which are available on the site now) that the mike port adheres to the tank with this kit, not replaces the center console; which is why I will be using this one when I gather the funds and put this project ahead of the others I currently want to get done. I think a tour pak or luggage will be first.

I think there is some kind of a flash programming thing involved which the dealer must do, is that correct?
