Two weeks ago my dealer said he had a 2007 Electra Glide Standard coming in at the end of July so I put a down payment on it. Gonna take a beating on my 06 Super Glide in trade if I can't sell it, but it's the bike I want.

ORIGINAL: hdman
I will take the Time honored 88 and the old 5 speed that has served so well over the years. Now in 3 to 5 years when the 96 and 6 speed has a proven Track record and some miles logged, then I might be interested in that power plant and tranny. Just my 02........... hdman
I feel the same way. It might take a year or two to get all the bugs worked out of the new 96"/6-speed. I'm in no hurry. I have an 06 so I have alot more miles and years to ride before I even think about another bike.

I was telling my Oldman about my cruise up to Big Bear (Mountains, So-Cal) he told me he road that mountain on his 4 speed EG in the 60's.............. didn't need no stinking 6 speed ............. as he's out riding around on his 2006 Dyna 6 speed.........

I don't understand the mindset of "bugs" in the 96" motor. The aftermarket and Harley have been stroking motors for years. I ran several S&S stroker motors on my Shovel's

The 6 speed last year did have problems, but from what I've read and heard, those "bugs" have been worked out. I just would have rather have lower/overdrive 6th gear instead of what the MoCo offers (Think Baker)

An 07 could end up in my garage
