Not to derail the conversation, but I assume you like the black ops lifters? Some say that the "B" lifter is as good as any, but do you think the HQ ones are worth the extra $$? Did you ever try the Harley lifter in your build or did you use the HQ lifters from the start?
I know there are a lot of people running B lifters with no problems. I'm sure they would be fine. To answer your question, the Black Ops lifters are the only ones I've used with these cams. Whether they are worth the money is a pretty individual choice. They were for me.
My HQ500 cams make 90lbs of torque by 2500 RPM's and stays above 85 LBS of torque to 5200 RPM's in a 96" engine and Kevin said this cam would work fine in a 103 built as long as you stayed below 10-1 compression.
