103 Stage II Tune Question ??
Ok getting ready to drop my 09 Street Glide off at the Dealer to have a 103 Stage II W/255'S installed. I'm told the HD Stage II download will work fine, should have no problems..
Here's my Question,,,What % of a power increase would I get if I go from the HD download to a Dyno tune?

Impossible to say. I had a Stage 1 download on my Night Train initially. Bike ran hot, and crackled & popped on decel. I changed parts when I had the TTS and tune done, so it's not really a fair comparison, but I gained roughly 7hp & 7ft-lbs at peak, and everything below the peak was up as well.
But the big difference was the way the bike ran. It was much cooler and smoother. The rideablity was the real noticeable improvement, and worth the money.

As has been said, hard to tell exactly how much torque and hp you will gain with dyno tune. The key is to get a good dyno tune by a tuner that knows what they are doing!!!
I've run base SERT and SEST maps, had good tunes and bad. One bad tune that I had was terrible compared to the base map. In general, based on what I have experienced, if you get a good tune the engine should run a lot better than base map. With a good tune, you will definitely feel the difference!

With all due respect, I read the thread where you received some "questionable" info IMO regarding cam selection, some good, some not so good, but hey, you're a big boy and can buy whatever you want. The 251 cam is NO WHERE near the stump pulling cam the 255 cam is for these big baggers in the right motor with the right compression I don't care WHO tells you differently. Are there "better" cams to use? Depends on who you ask and where you want the power in a particular build, but you couldn't GIVE ME a 251 NOR a 253(not that you mentioned it, just another one I wouldn't have) cam for my bagger.
Please refrain from spreading "misinformation" regarding the 255 cams. Good luck with your build.

Its you money but why not go to the TTS tuner right now, just download a map that close or if someone has one close to what you have, its not hard at all to V-tune ,some basic computer skills are needed and just ride the bike. You will come very close to a perfect map for the way you ride.
