I have an EZ-up and only use it when washing the bike, but even using for this one thing it is worth every penny.

I had an EZup installed about 2 months ago...Took using it about 10 times before I was totally comfortable with it. I will agree that you use some steering clearance as has been stated above. It sure makes cleaning and tinkering easier!

Fwiw I can't imagine wind being able to knock over my RK with the EZ on. The bike still sits extremely low and the rear wheel remains on the ground. It's very different from a conventional centerstand, which is much taller and lifts the bike completely off the ground.

I had one on my '08. When I bought the '09 I did not put one on.
That should tell you what I think of these drive off center stands.

Mine takes a good shove to get it off the center stand so I can't see how it could roll off by itself when used on a level surface. I certainly wouldn't try to use it while parked nose down on a slope.

A floorjack will take care of the wheels, and much more.

Mine has gone down twice.

The first time was user error. I was trying to pull the bike up onto a board in order to get the rear wheel up. Bike got away from me and fell over to the right in slow motion. I tried to stop it and just about blew out a nut. These things are heavy when they get past the point of no return!

The second time I was cleaning my bike in my garage. I have no idea what happened, the garage floor is level. As I was rubbing on a saddlebag I felt the bike move slightly...oh ****!!!!!!!!!!! Too late.

No damage either time, thank goodness.

I still like the centerstand, can't imagine oil changes and such without it anymore. I'm just really selective about when and where I use it.

The EZ center stand was simple to install and sure comes in handy when cleaning the bike. It is well made and worth the money.
