Default Cold riding

Gerbing heated jacket liner and gloves. Riding pants with knee armor. Fairing lowers. 8" windshield on the batwing. Full face helmet or a half helmet with a Shampa hood underneath.

Seems to be good into the 30's.

God bless the Yankees with the cojones to ride in such weather. It truly is a northern thing and as far as their speed, guess they were just wanting to get to point B ASAP..... My RK just has the detachable windshield but sure do appreciate it when the temps dip. Other than that I only use it on long trips with unpredictable weather. Not busting on you warmer climate folks but having growing up near Sixburg and now living in Mayberry, come summer the only pleasant riding is up on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
