Jon... thank you for that great idea. Sure doesn't seem like there will be safe conditions for it though, sadly.

You have given all you have for our country. I for one, thank you and can only hope you pain subsides one day. Of course, it never will. He is a fine looking young man. I know you are very proud. Please know you have thousands who pray for you, grieve for you and support you.
Sincerely,

I would like to thank the HD Forum for all your thoughtful, heartfelt good wishes and prayers. My son was a special young man and I am very proud of my son Elijah. He will live on forever in our hearts.
In Elijah's own words
"Don't worry Dad...I'll be coming home". Now he is home...RIP my son.
Your Loving Father

That's a fine young Man you got there. I know you are proud of him. I hope you let us here get to know you better. I've only one child. He is currently serving and at risk. He is all I have left from my previous life when I was married to his mother for 24 years. He is all I have to show for all those years we were together. I don't know what I would do if I lost him too. I hope you allow me and maybe others here to get to know you.

I know I have replied already but I can't help but cry everytime I read all the kind words here. We must all remember the price that is being paid for our freedom. I have raised my sons that when they meet a VET the VERY 1st thing they are to do is extend and and say THANK YOU. I myself extend a hand. One time I said thank you to a vet and he grabbed me and gave me a great big hug and said to me thank you noone has every said that to me before and I have waited so long to hear that. SO to all you vets and families of THANK YOU.

Thank you for being the type of American family that is capable of raising such a son. On behalf of my family, friends and neighbors, I wish to express both our deepest sympathies, and our deepest gratitude. If it were not for families like yours, and men like your son, this country would fail. Your sons name will be heard in our church this Sunday.
