2009 New Dunlop 407 report
OK, been out for a while. Had rotator cuff and biceps muscle repaired and was/is hard to type.
I have just over 13,000 miles on my 2009 Ultra and it came with the new Dunlop 407s made for touring.
Dry handling was great, no problems at all, felt smooth and confident in cornering and their stopping power. No cupping present with 13k on them either
Wet handling, MUCH IMPROVED over previous Dunlop tires. I had the chance to ride down to Daytona BiketoberFest and it rained on me on the way down and on the way back. Not once did I feel the tires loose grip in heavy rains or stopping. This ride was my last ride of the year so they had 12,000 miles on them for this weather.
Now, for the best part, with 13,000 miles on them, I have just over 1/8th inch of depth left in the center of the tires. They look new still and ride as new tires do. I am very happy with these tires for both handling and milage out of them!! About time Dunlop got them right!
