Default True dual thunderheaders

I don't want to hear about what kind of pipes you think are better i want to hear from only people who have TRUE dual thunder headers. Do you like them? Do they perform well? Do they hold up? Would you recommend them? I love thunderheaders, no doubt best looking dual and sounding dual but i don't know what to buy for pipes, i'm looking to do a 95 or 103 kit on my 04 RK and i just want best performance possible out of a dual exhaust. thanks for the input in advance......AJ

I have thunderheader duals on my 04 rk custom. I'm running them with samson dual head pipes. I absolutely think they are the best sounding pipe out there. They sound really good at idle and sound awsome when going through the gears. (Imo) They quiet down at cruising speed. As far as performance, My bike runs great. My bike is carbed, had allittle work done to it, Don't know if that has any thing to do with the way it runs but my A$$ dyno feel no low end torque loss. I have 15,000 miles on the thunderheaders and no discoloring. Trust me, if I thought my bike ran bad, I would run right out and buy a 2-1 but I think alot of the power loss caused by adding duals is allittle over blown. Just my opinion.

I have gone through about 2500 dollars worth of exhaust systems trying to get the right sound and performance on this bike and finally got the thunderheaders. Should of done this from the beginning. The sound, well, it is just the best. great low and deep rumble at idle. Sounds like a glasspack when under load and a deep mellow tone when cruising. Just the perfect sound to me on a bagger. All my previous bikes I have ended running drag pipes because that is the sound I love but I tried them in a few different variations on my bagger and it just did not fit the bill. Tried a couple of nice baffled exhausts like the hookers, vance and hines, bub and bassanis and still just not the right sound. Now I am truely in heaven. I am running the vance and hines headpipes with the thundercones slip ons.

As for performance, by far one of the best out there. I noticed a big difference right away even compared to other "performance" exhausts that I have tried out. Are there other ones out there that may gain you .5 more horse, definately but in my opinion these are the best of both worlds and the best bang for your dollar.

Looks, well, if you are going for a showbike then these are definately not for you. the looks are more of a dragbike or hotrod. Without heatshields you will get some discoloration and blueing/golding on the middle of the muffler also. but if you are looking for sound and performance then these would be my suggestion.
