replacing inner fairing

I do not know about chroming the front end but I did change out my inner fairing. Was not too hard to do. I was able to complete the job in four hours including replacing the handle bars which I ran the wiring through. Do yourself a favor before you start; purchase an ignition switch alignment tool.

Both jobs are not that tough...there are some things to watch out for.
Inner Fairing
-- Ignition Switch is scary at first but once you figure it out, it's not that bad. After I got the lowering cap off, I put the switch back in so I don't forget how and so I could turn the front end.
Chrome Front end
-- Watch out removing the 6 or 8mm brass screw that hold the lower on. They strip easy...trust me I know. If you do, just get a tap out set and get it out.
-- Fork seals can be tough if you don't have the right tool. I just purchased a PVC pipe the same diameter as the seal, cut it a little longer than the top of the fork assembly and use a rubber mallet to drive it in. Works like a charm.
