Wondering if anyone else has experieced this. At highway speeds my 02 RKC wants to veer to the left if I remove my hands from the bars. Is this normal or do I have a alignment problem.
Thanks Edmo, thing is while cruising with one hand on bar I must apply slight rear pressure on left bar and slight forward pressure on right bar. Much prefer left bar. No big deal, but I thought I'd ask someone else. Thanks
My turn is ever so slight, but it's there. Being it is an '06 with only 850 miles on it I would think it is as close to "factory specs" as you can get... I guess the roads in Wisconsin all turn slightly to the left.
I have an 05 Ultra, when I first got her I tried out all the features including cruise control. Down the highway no hands she was dead straight. I was surprised at how dead on she was. This year, she pulls to the left. Not enough to notice while holding her, but let go of the bars and she goes left. I did add highway pegs, and slighltly adjusting my passing lamps to point out a bit. I thought that perhaps it was wind resistance between the two changes being off a bit??? Am I nuts to think this could be it?
My theory is they drift left due to the extra weight of the clutch, primary chain, and the compensator. Ride a bike that doesn't drift, lean
a little to the left and it will drift won't it. I thought they all drift left!
I have a street glide that runs straight as an arrow down the highway. If your motorcycle is an "02" I would suspect at some point in time the rear tire or belt was changed or adjusted and my be out of alignment but on an "06" bike I would think it should run straight from the factory and if not the dealer should be aware of it and make an attempt to correct it...........BG
