12" 440 HDs on my King. I have no complaints.

So what do y'all do for the front end? I know you can spend some serious scratch and get an inverted fork, but I'm looking for something that will have a stock appearance. I think it's a waste of money to get awesome rear suspension while still having crap in the front.

The main thing I miss about my BMW's is the great suspension. Comfortable, controlled, alone w/o bags, or two-up with loaded bags. Lots of travel too. Wish I could have that with the Harley.

I haven't got that far yet! Agree with you about BMWs (I also own one). Howard of MM has just despatched my Ohlins to me. He does inverted forks, also a cartridge insert for stock forks. An alternative is Traxxion.

I am replacing my rear swingarm and wheel with 07 parts this winter, finishing off with Ohlins. That will be enough for this season's project! Perhaps next winter I will turn to the front end.

Shocks get plenty of coverage here, but most forks stuff is lowering them. Perhaps we can drum up some feedback on improving fork performance.

I am working on making new fork caps to allow externally adjustable rebound (I already have) and adjustable spring pre-load. I have studies the sliders and there is no problems (I think) in machining in a compression adjuster. Of course you will have to deal with the very loose tolerances inherent with a HD fork, the ridicules rake with raked trees and 6.6"~6.9" of trail. Ideal would be 26 degrees (already on neck) & 4" of trail. I have it on my bike and transforms the bike to a slow handling slug to something that actually maneuvers quickly. Some how or another people have grown up with the cartoon mentality that long raked out tubes are good looking. They hinder your handling seriously. Of course if you wish to go unconscious while riding down a straight highway they do the trick. If you would ever ride a Dyna Sport than you would know what I am talking about. This is a 26 degree / 4" trail bike w/radial calipers and 320 mm rotors,

Please excuse this above post as the OP asked about Progressive shocks and who has got them and not about forks that I answered. I should have looked at the OP question & purpose of the post... OP Sorry.

Your answer is I do not have any experience on my bike with the shocks you asked about. Lost my way.
