Default Flickering red tail lights

Does anyone know if it is legal to have the red LED tail light modual that flickers the stoplight 3 times before going solid in California?

Don't know...I do know there are DOT standards around it. I solved the problem (I think) by putting a BAL tailight on and put it at the bright "strobe flash" setting along with putting the rear turn signal brake light kit from HD on...so I have constant brake lights (both the turn signals and the tour pack lights) as well as a flashing one.

Default Legality of Brake Modulators/Flashers

If they were illegal, then, would you not be breaking the law if you tapped your brake three or more times quickly before applying it continuously ???

I'll take my chances with a ticket. I have my BAL set to flash three times and go solid for stops.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all your insites. I just took possession of a 2010 Road King Standard and want to be safe. The flashing tail lights seem like a good idea if it could only apply to Motorcycles only.

Again, Thanks!
