Default Wax my inside Fairing??? I have 2010 Road Glide Custom -- I frequently

wax the bike but not sure how to care of the inside fairing. It is flat black -- not sure if I should put wax on it. Appreciate any suggestions.

thanks, Lou

We went thru this a while back and a member mentioned Vinylex which he got at PepBoys. I tried it on everything and it's Great stuff.

great question, the inner fairing does fade and soap or cleaner polishes make it fade faster I think.I use pledge and back to black but overtime I think the fairing fades.I bet if you cleaned it real well and brushed on a clear coat it would look better and stay looking good.I'd like to paint mine but seems a lot of work.

Hands down the best stuff I've ever found. It instantly returns the black inner fairing to the deep, rich color it had when new. It doesn't leave a shiny look like an Armorall does. It took the white chalkiness right off my fairing. Wipe on, wipe off and you're done. Mother's Back to Black. http://www.autogeek.net/motbactrimca.html

Do not put wax on it!! Dont ask how I know. I use warm water and dish soap then light coat of WD 40 looks brand new!

REALLY?!?! I would think that would make a mess and leave everything slippery.

I've used Back to Black from Mothers and it is good stuff.

I use the Armoral Wipes. I wipe an area with one and follow it up by wiping with a micro-fiber cotton rag. It is a little work but it works great.
