Default Help..Found new bike

Hi all, I am thinking about maybe trying to trade in my Road King Classic. I found a 2010 Black Denim Street Glide for just under $20k. I have a black 2003 ann. FLHRCI with 13000 on the clock. What kind $$$ can I expect from my bike. What is a good price for the street glide? Any help with offers? thanks.

Good luck.
Indiana in the winter? I doubt if a dealer wants to put much money in a bike they will be keeping until spring. Mt dealer in Texas has been flooded with too many used bikes since August. They don't want any more and we ride year round.

Yeah, that is true, but who wouldnt want to sell a 2010 in my opinion. I know I wouldnt turn down a customer for a posible new purchase. What or how can I find out how much my bike goes for?

This is where my dealer usually starts:

Kelly Blue Book

Kelly Blue Book says: http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/trade-...classic/253420

2003 Harley-Davidson FLHRCI Road King Classic Value Email November 30, 2009
2-Cylinders
4-Stroke
1450cc
Trade-In Value (Good Condition) $10225* Trade-in Value is what consumers can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in unit assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than you would receive from a private party sale because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business. Trade-in values are based on clean units in good condition, with all original standard equipment. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above.

I love them 03's. Trade in will cost ya a few thousand from selling outright. I would think you could sell it for 13000 +or-. New bike, MSRP plus tax +or-.

I agree.....in the 13K +/- range to private buyer. Trade in you'll lose big $$'s. Trying to sell over winter can cost you too. Folks don't want to part with thousands of $$'s and let it sit in the garage for 4 months.

nada will give you a more accurate figure of what you can get for your bike. KBB is high and usually you need to subtract 6 or 7 percent from that figure.
Problem is the market is very soft and loans are hard to come by with a decent intrest rate.

NADA is close @ $9,980, my experience from last week's trade in on my 2007 FLTR is you will have to work hard to get to the lower of the 2 prices on KBB or NADA for your trade. Of course if they are willing to knock a few $$'s off MSRP you can always have them add it to your trade value instead to help reduce your total cash down and taxes.

http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...H&gc=MC&gtc=MC

Here was the info on my bike:
PRICING Low Retail Average Retail
Base Price $12,360 $14,400
Options
Cruise Control $60 $70
Exhaust-High Perf(Street) $280 $317
Security Alarm System $110 $135
TOTAL PRICE $12,810 $14,922

Suggested List: $18,125

My bike had 4,000 miles and was in immaculate condition, not one scratch or blemish and some trade offers were $11K. The best offer I received was $12,500.

I called our local dealer and they said without seeing the bike, he looked in the books and quoted me a rough estimate of 11k so take or add from that once they see the bike.
