Cool LED Accent Opinions - Touring Model Specific

Looking for everyone's opinion ... I know ... that can be dangerous but I've come to respect everyone here.

My wife loves the LED accent lights and I agree they look awesome. I just wonder are they really worth it or does the utopia wear off? Does the wiring become more trouble than it's worth regarding maintenance on the bike? Overall, if you had it to do all over again, would you do the same thing?

Thanks in advance, hope your Thanksgiving was great.

I had them on my 07 SG... and all the chicks love them... and its alot easier to find your bike in the crowd at night. I hit a deer with that bike and its probably totaled (should find out Monday or Tuesday) sooo... when I get my new bike Im planning on installing LED's on that one as well!

I would rather put my money into lighting that will allow others to see you on the road. Accent lighting is fine and dandy. However I prefer to be seen.

The lights look good when you don't see the source of the light(unable to see the light bulbs) thats my opinion. REMEMBER you should check your state laws about aux. lights on a vehicle, in Florida you can not use red or blue lights, they are for emergency vehicles only. What sucks is I want red lights to go with my red bike, so I'm SOL.

I promise you if I'm ever hit from the side at night, that person will fry. LEd turn signals and tail lights front and rear. Bike is black pearl, so from the side view it is very dark, turn my accent lights on and you see a bright *** blue bike. "Can you see me now"

My red bike has red L.E.D.S. all over it. I even drilled holes in the faring and installed single LEDS in each gauge recess, speaker housing, and speakers themselves. It gets lots of attention wherever we go. Just spent a week in Fla and had no problems with LEOs. I have the lights flashing when parked but steady on when riding. None are forward-facing and none can actually be seen, just the glow.LEDs inside windshield .Windshield un lit.
