Default 09 Streetglide- Dead Battery?????

Bought the bike in August, it has about 6K. Been sitting in a heated shop for 4 weeks and when I tried to fire it off yesterday it was dead.

Is there something in the security system that can drain the battery in that amount of time? I will trickle charge the battery and then load test it. If it is bad, is that a warranty issue? Do you keep your bike on a battery tender if it is going to sit a few weeks? Thanks in advance. EW

Yes battery tender is a must if bike is sitting.

I use a battery tender anytime I'm not going ride for a week or two which isn't often.

Yeah but 4 weeks??? i would let the dealer look at this under warranty because even the battery is still under warranty.

I also had battery issues this weekend. I bought my bike @ Biketoberfest in 2008, and I always used a battery tender when the bike is not being used. I wanted to ride this weekend, but the battery voltage would drop from a charge (14.2 vdc to 11.6 vdc within an hour. My dealer said it should be a warranty claim, but he wants to check it out first. I will wait until Spring 2010. So, is there something going on here?
