I made my own..1".
I'm going to try making a set of 1 1/2".....

That one inch makes a big differance..now lets see what 1 1/2 will do

Do you have a link to the DIY version? It looks like it'd be pretty simple, but I haven't thought up a solution. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us here and for all the positive reviews. Happy Holidays. We have found that 1.5" version is too wide and the boards scrape too easy, although it can be done. It really depends on the way you ride and what kind of riding you do. To those who wish to make their own...fab away.

I used 1" square Aluminum stock and cut it. Heated it up with a propane torch, not real super hot maybe 300 degrees and sprayed them with black paint. The 'dual" hole by the kickstand took alittle extra time but no big deal. Grade 8 bolts locally.

I scraped once with my stock configuration...no scraping with the 1" installed.
Then again I really don't corner real aggressive.

Ok so now we have the Extensions outward set, can we go forward? I heard there is a extended floorboard of sorts. What about the controls? HG any ideas or direction on something like this?

Harley makes extended floorboard pans and there are several manufacturers who make floorboard brackets that move the floorboards forward.
Ness kit http://www.arlenness.com/p-1167-2-fl...kit-black.aspx

Wild Bills kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/harle...26201005r15797

I'm still searching for the part number for the Harley extended pans.

i have the kuryakyn 1 inch forward /one inch out kit,,now most of there stuff is crap i.m.o but these are chromed billet pieces that work really well.. mine took a direct hit on the rt foot board from a cage and destroyed the board (and a ton of other stuff) the extensions never even bent and are back on the bike..think about 75.00
