There has to be a place where I can buy stuff less than MSRP. I went to the dealer today to buy a rain suit and a push button gas cap. The gas cap is on back order and I would have to order my size rain suit which would mean another trip to the dealer and pay MSRP. There has to be an eaisier and cheaper way. I'm new to Harley, so forgive me is this is a stupid question.

3 sites I know of sites give 20% off, Chicago Harley, Surdyke Harley, and Zanottis(sp) Helps to have the part #. I have bought alot from Chicago, sometimes you have to wait a little but it always shows up, never had anything damaged from shipping

ps - there are some sponsors on here that sell items that meet, and or exceed the HD parts craftsmanship.. imho. i like to support indys when possible. mom and pop stores are almost a thing of the past.

you can really break away from the cookie cutter bike with one off items, and stuff from independent shops.

As suggested above...

On the other side, there's something to be gained by doing business with your local dealer and helping them stay in business...

Good point about buying from the local dealer. I bought a shift rod from them today. I wanted a rain suit and a push button gas cap which they didn't have. The dealer is 35 miles one-way from me in traffic. So, I think I would be better off to get those items online. Trust me, the local dealer gets a lot of money from me.
