Parts and Bike mark up: at least 45% , 100% what ever , they are within 15% of each other.

Do you think Harley calls up al the dealers and tells them ",,we will pay you to sell your over stock..." ?

Harley lets dealers go under with no thought.

Dealer has to Pay $ , Building , Flooring Costs for Bikes , Parts, Bikes , Workers , Harley Retail Lic. , Taxes

Then Work Retail hours, listen to- want to be buyers.., winers all day long

And then the internet comes along and bombs pricing... No wonder Dealers are closing left and right.....

I love a deal, but lets see....The dealer is at Harley mother's wim

Mother Harley goes out and borrows $900 million at 15% interest, has product made in China , Korea , Vitnam..... and passes no savings on to the dealers..

I have never seen a overly rich rich owner for any motorcycle shop.

They do it for the passion of the community and riders.

Be glad to support my local dealer.....when he starts supporting me with some better pricing. If I had to pay some of those prices I never would have been able to afford the bike. If I can save an extra 10% getting it from another place I will. I work in textiles.......I don't think all those Chinese shirts are supporting me.

To show his appreciation for our HOG chapter, our dealership had a special for HOG chapter members. The 3 days before Thanksgiving HOG chapter members got 15 % off clothes and accessories. Tomorrow Saturday November 28 the clothes and accessories are 20% off for everybody. Makes you kind of wonder who was appreciated?

 

Manchester HD in NH had their black Friday 25% sale. They will have 15% off from December 1-15, then from the 16-24 it will progressive (i.e. 16% on the 16th, 17% on the 17th and so on) Soos was kind enough to pick up my brake pads today.

 

Who says I got money....plastic is fantastic.

 

I accidently stumbled across a dealers 2008 price list. many things are 100% some things are less. 08 dealer cost on the camplate upgrade 25283-07 is $308.50 so getting that item at 25% is pretty good deal as there is less than a 30% markup to begin with.
