you have to bend the tabs back on the front . I took both mine off then put the rear back on ... I didnt like it with the rear off it looked too short

+1 I did the exact same thing. I'm also toying with the idea of putting the front back on. But the back...yeah, never looked right.

I took my front one off and then changed the whole look of the front fender to this.

I pulled the rear off too. Then after reading that it provides lateral support for the rear end and firms everything up, I installed the one with the brake light built into it.

Thanks for the replies. Can I assume that the front wheel does not need to come off to get to the bolts that hold the bumper on?

Not saying it is not so, but, I can't imagine the rear bumper is needed to supply lateral support.

Taking the front tire off will save you lots of time and aggravation trying to bend the tabs from around the fender bolts!

Depends. If you have an 08 and below it is the support [bracket]. 09 above, nope, and you can take it off without any problem because there is another bracket hidden up behind the fender that does the job.

If you have an 08 or below you should get the hidden bracket that comes with the SG or RG.

Thanks for the info. I have a 2010 EGC. Just traded my 07 SG for it.
