Kuryakyn Crusie Assist
Does anyone have the Kuryakyn electro-magnetic cruise assist mod on their scoot? If this works as advertised it seems to be a good way to go to get cruise option.
Was going through the thread of mods under a $100 and saw the bridge the gap heat shield mod. Though this is under $100, if the cruise assist turns out to function well I'll be out another $500 on mods!! I'm sure many more of you are in the same boat. Great thread!!!...maybe someone should start a thread on mods under $50.

Understand it's not te "real" cruise control but don't have the $$$ to put into a "real" cruise control, hence an alternative option.
Anyone have constructive input on this option?

I put the Kuryakyn Cruise Assist on my 2007 Dyna. In my opinion it is a great product. The thing that sets it appart from simple throttle locks is that it releases when you touch the Front or rear brake or the clutch. It actually is a bargain when you consider that you get the throttle control unit plus a set of ISO grips and a set of chrome clutch and brake levers.
I had it on my Dyna for 2 years without a single problem.

I did the install myself. The only touchy part was changing the levers. The factory service manual scared me with it's talk of ruining the brake or clutch switches but I followed the instructions and had no problems. I ran the Kuryakyn harnes back under the seat and connected to the Auxillary plug for "power, ground and brake" inputs. I had to splice into the clutch wire for that signal. You can get the pins and housing that you need to plug into the Auxillary plug from the dealer for a couple of bucks. While you are at the dealer you should pick up a couple of spare E clips for the lever pivot pins. They are very small and if you drop one on the garage floor, you may have a hard time finding it. Don't ask me how I know that. Also you can bend one trying to get it off without the proper tool ($20 at Sears).
Hope this helps.

Choice is always good so here is another option to consider. Buddy has one on his RK. Top quality, and works flawlessly. Easy install with no mods to your bike. It also looks so good, I thought it was a factory unit first time I saw it. Check out the demo video. Made in the USA.
