Thinking about a pillow type seat for the wife on long trips for the street glide. Woundered if anyone has used the "pillow-Look" seat from HD? I'd like to hear your opinion of it, OR, can anyone recommend that type of seat for the FLHX? Anyone use something similar?

I put one on the SG but had Mean City Cycles narrow the nose, drop it a tad, pushed forward a tad and added memory foam....Comfy as hell now.....

Depending on your inseam, you may get away with just attaching it to the bike with no mods....

I like the looks, that's why I went with it....

I just installed the Airhawk air cushion to my stock seat. Had the original seat opened up and gel honeycomb inserts added in 2008. That helped, but not enough. After reading all the great reviews of the Airhawk air cushion, I decided to try it.

So far OK, but the real test will be a several hour ride.

My bike had one when I bought it. I'm not crazy about the looks but it is comfy ... of course, I haven't been on a trip longer than 100 miles yet, either.

I have one for long rides. It is very comfy. It also absorbs road shocks very well. A blessing for my bad back.

It does sit a little higher and it is a little wider also at the nose (spreading your legs out).
I am 6' with a 32" inseam and have no trouble flat footing.
But if you are short, you may end up having the nose shaved down narrower.

I had mine recoverd and the sides shaved on the back to take out the hour glass shape.
I hated the looks of the buttons (but that's just me).

Here's a couple of pictures of it on my old 08.

Do your wife a favor and forget about that seat. There is no support in the foam in them. Check out the Corbin Dual Tour, and I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.

I got the Sundowner on mine for the long rides or when the wife rides. She didn't like the pillow, said it was too wide and rubbed on inner thighs. Have her sit on an Ultra and see if she likes it. I put the stock one on when I'm riding solo.
