Default Zumo 660 Road Glide Fairing Mount

I decided to go ahead and fabricate a mount using the useless air temp gauge hole in the RG fairing. Works pretty good. Here is how it looks.

I borrowed the idea from http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=35605.0

You can either get washers made to fit in the hole or I used a round closet door insert from ace hardware. I drilled the hole in the center of the disc for the ram mount and the notched the side of the disc for the wires. I used a grommet for the notch so it doesn't cut into the wire. You can fabricate the back anyway you want but I just used a chrome plumbing wall plate from ace also. The ones like under your sink. I should have taken pics during the process but it's pretty ugly inside the fairing Also I painted the closet door insert black to match everything. Hope this makes sense.
