What are the best pair of gloves in 20F degree weather??
I have a '09 RK with no fairing so when it gets really cold out and I want to ride its a challenge keeping my hands from freezing. Can anyone recommend a pair of leather gloves that are functional when it gets 20F degrees or so. I heard that the heated handgrips suck but I am open to suggestions, and waiting for summer to get here so that I can ride is not an option.

Heated gloves work for me.

If you're riding for any length of time no leather glove is going to keep your hands warm. You'll have to go with heated (electric gloves). I have heated grips and they're not much help. I've broke down and finally made the decision to go with heated gloves and a full face helmet, can't beat'em for cold and wet weather.

Thats true,I've used insl. gloves, inserts, snow machine mittens, insulated coveralls, insulated packs etc. over the years to try and keep warm here in Wyoming.Just depends on how long your rides are and how comfortable you need to be.I've found wearing leather gloves with bulky inserts and bulky clothing on a long ride makes for an uncomfortable day plus all that winter gear takes up so much room when the sun comes out.I've been caught several times in the spring-fall mo's out west here.Left for the Oregon coast in September 3 years ago Summer like weather going over 25-35 deg. with snow coming home most of the 950 mi.Last June 08 I got caught in a Blizzard in Western Montana,I90 closed for 2 days 25-35 deg.2 days later it it was sunny and 80.The nice thing about heated gear,it takes up very little room.I pack a set of Under Armor,a pair of blanket-lined levis,my chaps, elect. gear, leather jacket and rain gear which keeps me dry and toasty year-round.Soft lowers are also a +

I have both; heated grips and my bike wired for Gerbing G3's. I don't use the gloves
until it's below 20 degrees. The heated grips with a pair of Chilhowee insulated
deerskin guantlets work well enough unil then.

I hate the dang wiring for the G3's, but have to admit the combination of both
is real nice when the temps hover around 0 degrees.
