I have been wearing a pair of wool lined gloves that are designed for cold weather. Im not sure of the brand but have ridden in 30* weather and my hands stay so warm it's not even an issue.
If you're riding for any length of time no leather glove is going to keep your hands warm. You'll have to go with heated (electric gloves). I have heated grips and they're not much help. I've broke down and finally made the decision to go with heated gloves and a full face helmet, can't beat'em for cold and wet weather.
This is true! I have spent hundreds of dollars on different types of gloves and not one could keep my hands warm below 32 degrees for the 40 mile to ride to work. The tourmaster elite 3 were the best but still fell short.
I probably have some circulation in my hands, but not much, and they get cold quicker than any other part of my anatomy. For me nothing works for the hands in temperatures of 45° or lower except heated gloves. Usually in temperatures of 50° or lower, or on extended rides even up to 55° I use the Gerbings Classic heated gloves. These are the older and cheaper variety that are heavier than the newer G3's, which are less bulky but reportedly work well.
Last year I bought an HD heated vest (made by Gerbings) and it works well for the upper body. Unfortunately I'm on my third vest, as the first two were defective.
You can't bet heat, that being said I have had heated hand grips for years. I have used heated hand grips for 37-38 years on a number of dirt bike, and my last two Harley's. Just something else to think about, it also gets cold here in Northen Nevada.
