Looks like you've had plenty of suggestions but heres another. Call Critter at Myers Duren in Tulsa. He sold me a RKC with abs, security and laced wheel upgrade for $1000 below MSRP with no set-up or freight fees. 918-743-4440

Spoke with Critter, he said he was able to work a great deal for you due to special circumstances.

That said, he was by far the best price of anyone and a real nice guy to talk with. Looks like I might be riding 3 1/2 hrs to Tulsa next week.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions & help!

Critter is a good guy. If you work him over pretty good you can probably get him to knock 20% off any upgrades or accessories and if you have them put on before taking delivery they will be covered by the factory warranty. He probably will throw in a couple of tshirts too! Glad I could help!

KahunaJim is referring to section 1008 of the Stimulus Bill... You can deduct the state and local sales tax from your motorcycle purchase if it is purchased on or before Dec 31, 2009. The savings wouldn't induce a person to go out and buy one, however if you do, every little bit helps.

This post was full of some good crap. Looks like there is more to Texas than the Alamo!

Funny how when the HD financing was cancelled with the local shop they called me up and wanted to try to match the deal and tried to discredit the out of state dealer every step of the way. Told me since I was buying out of state that I'll be stuck paying sales tax on the full purchase price instead of the difference between the trade and sales price so I have to check that one out.

Long 11 hr trip to Myers Duren in Tulsa, OK but worth it. Got home at 10PM. Took an hour longer to get home due to break-in riding.
This is my first black bike and very happy with it. Well, once I get a few mods done that is.
