Dude,
Hang tight for a day, or so.
I'm putting all polished stainless on my '09 RG.
I'll have pics posted by Sunday night.
Stainless is the way to go, I think.

What ever you do don't buy the Harley ones. They look nasty compared to the Gardner-Westcott bolts.

Chrome allen bolts all eventually rust and look awful if you actually ride your bike instead of looking at it. I've used polished stainless on bikes for years. I got lazy on this last one and ordered a polished stainless engine/tranny/primary kit off ebay. It was reasonably cheap and all bolts were the right length and size. They look just like chrome and last forever.

I've got the chrome caps on all of the bolts on the RKC.

For the bolts on black, common since tells me to use a high temp primer and high temp paint. I might paint those bolts while they are still on the bike.

Thanks for the help.
Hot Toppers on each bolt head. Much cheaper, looks as good as chrome bolts and you won't have to remove rust inside the allen head or apply clear nail polish to prevent rust.
