I cleaned my lenses today after discovering a bulb was burned out. Simply remove the bulb, and cut a small piece (2"X2") microfiber cloth and shove it in the hole where the bulb was. Then take a popsicle stick and put that in and push the cloth around until the glass is clean. I did it to my headlight also and now all three lights look like new. I also bought some white bulbs with the blue coating on them from an auto parts store and they are now whiter and brighter. I used some Turtle Wax..."Wax as you Dry" liquid sprayed on the cloth before inserting. Leaves no residue and looks great!!!

Amber is not my preference either but if being seen is a concern you can't do much better in daylight than the amber lens/bulbs.

I cleaned the inside of my spots tonight. EASY, man, after working on Kaw. Vulcan spot lights I was ready for some frustration and torture! But this was simple, easy, worked like a charm and they are clean and bright again. Thanks again for the tip.

Default Wiring Question

Hello Mick,

This is an old thread and I thought I would try anyway. I just bought these sealed beam lens/lights and at present, I have halogen bulbs. As it applies to wiring, do I just cut the existing wires to the halogen bulbs and twist and attach to the terminals on the Wagners?

Regards,
Tim

QUOTE=Mick;5871848]I have yellow (amber) lights on mine.
I switched them to Wagner 4415A sealed beams last year.
The Wagner beams are a screw terminal as opposed to the plug in style , but it's pretty easy to change.
They're available at most better auto parts stores and are for trucks as a fog beam.
The 4415 and A series have about a 40 degree beam spread as opposed to the stock 8 degree spread.
They are 35 watt , unlike the stock 27 watt bulbs , so the wiring is OK afterwards.
Maybe it's me , but "less" people seem to cross in front of me since the change to amber.
Take care to aim them carefully if you install as the beam changes position significantly when chaging from spot to flood style lights.
And yes , they are really a pain to aim properly.
I feel like this mod was a good value , and I feel safer with them , than the stock bulbs.
