Default Just a heads up on HD oil cooler

I just wanted to let folks know than on 09 and maybe 10's you cant run an HD oil cooler if you are running a thunderheader. At least thats the case on the touring models. The reason is that the O2 sensor is right in the way of where the cooler needs to mount. I found this out the hard way. Anyone else have this problem and figure out how to run the cooler or perhaps another brand of cooler?

Mounts down by the regulator behind the front wheel. Mines a Jagg.
HD has one also.

Put on a JAGG 10 Row low mount cooler and you will be fine. Mounts right in front of your voltage regulator using the same two bolts as the regulator and it's a much better coil cooler.

Depending on how much clearance is needed, you can get a dummy o2 sensor or bolt that will fitin the sensor opening and heat it up with a torch, then bend it where you need it. I did it to mine, but i'm running rinehart td. I just bent it up a little so the o2 sensor wire's weren't so close to the oil cooler housing.
