What bike is this
So I am looking at this eBay auction: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=160006891767
Guy says the bike is a 100th anniversary Road Glide. There is a badge on top of the tank that says so. But it has a bat-wing fairing.
The fender says Ultra Glide, but the description says that the fender is not original. And the bike is salvage title.
So, Road Glide or Electra Glide?

RE: What bike is this
My best guess the bike is an Electra Glide Standard .. with an added 100 Anniversary Tank and side covers (both have 100 Ann. Stripes). First of all the engine and inner casings are not black .. they are black on a 2003 Road Glide but silver on the EGS. Second thing that makes me think it's an EGS is the batwing fairing with no radio (not a fixed fairing with 100 Anniversary Stripes). The front fender and rear saddlebags are not from an '03 touring bike, no 100 Anniversay Stripes. I happen to own a 2003 Road Glide so trust me on this. Good Luck!!

Looks like a Road Electra Ultra Glide.... It does seem a little odd that it was issue a salvage title on an insurance theft recovery with minimal damage. I have seen bikes sell at insurance theft recoveries with no discernible damage sell with a clear title... what's up with that?

RE: What bike is this
This is the best Harley V.I.N. info page I could find .. Harley V.I.N. FAQ's According to them the "DD" in the VIN #1HD1DDV193Y600375 shows it to be a 2003 FLTHC (Electra Glide Classic). The 10th digit is the year and the Y shows it was manufactured in York, PA.

Yes the tenth digit is the year, starting with 2001 the year is represented by a number i.e. 1 for 2001, 6 for 2006 and the y is the plant. However, the "DD" is not for a FLHTC. I looked at the link and its wrong. For 2003 theFLHTC would be 1hd1djv.... and FLHTCi would be 1hd1ffw......the FLHTi would be 1hd1fvw.... now if it was a two tone FLHTC or FLHTCi then it would be different. I would give you my reference but then of course I would have to kill ya.
