Default 200mm rear tire for the 09' Touring

I heard a rumor that a 200mm rear tire will fit on an 09' touring model. Is there any truth to this? I think the 09's already come with a 180, so a 200 isn't a stretch I wouldn't think. Since my rear tire is cupping and I might need to replace it anyway, might as well go for a 200. The 180 has been awesome, except the cupping part.

I am using an Avon Cobra 200/55VR 17" tire on a 17 x 6.25 rim. No problemo

Bike and tyre look great! And I am agonising over getting a 150 onto my '90....

Curious if your rim is stock right out of the factory ?. I would be interested in upping towards to 200mm if it should fit w/o any clearance issues.

Thanks,

Thorey

Rims are not stock. They are from Coastal Moto: http://www.coastalmoto.com/?gclid=CK...FSQeDQodVzaJsw

You could shoot them an email or phone call, they could probably answer any rim/tire questions. Great guys to deal with.

Avon recommend a rim between 6-6.5 inches wide for that tyre.
