Default Corbin rider backrest on stock flhx/r seat. Will it work?

I have an old corbin rider backrest that I would like to use on my 08 flhx stock seat (actually I am using an 08 road glide seat). My questions are 1. Will it work and 2. Do I need to get some other hardware to mount it from Corbin or other mfg.? Anybody done this before?

If you're talking about the Corbin detachable backrest you can get for dual touring seats, the answer is NO! They only work with Corbin Seats. Now if you're talking about some other kind of Corbin backrest that is permanently mounted, you might be able to make it work. But most of the Corbin Backrests that I've seen have a post that drop right into the seat. And I've had 7-8 Corbins, and still have 2. Hope that helps.
