Well, I just received an email for inquiry asking about the bike.....anyone smell a rat? I saw this same thing on ebay about a Honda GW and had several different types of emails when I respond using different email accounts.

"Hello,

The bike is still available and I am ready to sell it for $10,400. First of all, let me assure you about the performances and about the condition of it. As you can see in the images the bike is in a perfect shape with no damage, no scratches or dents, never laid down, no hidden defects and it is as advertised. I'm the owner with the title in hand and the transaction can be completed quickly. The bike is 6 speed fuel injected and it is flawless. You will receive all the papers and documentation, the clear title and all the bills. Still under factory warranty until June 24th .There is no liens on the title and you will not have any complications about registration and licensing the bike. The bike has 2,025 miles on it.Here is the Vin # 1HD1PR8167Y950598. The bike was bought from someone in Odessa TX and I am the second owner of it.

Right now the bike is in Seattle, WA and from here will be shipped. I am working Seattle as a civil engineer. The price is so good because after I broke up with my wife I took the bike and she took our house! Well at least until we will meet in the court again. For that reason I try to sell the bike fast. Please note that the title is on my name and possession my ex-wife has nothing to interfere with my bike! The bike was advertised also in your area because I was advised to advertise on more cities that I can find a buyer faster, so please excuse me if the bike is not exactly in your area, thank you for your understanding! I will help you with delivery for that reason.

If you need more picture with the bike I am ready to send them to you. Let me know if you are interested as I am ready to close the deal as soon as possible.

One more thing in order to be confident about this deal I will propose to register and make the deal through eBay,under their Vehicle Purchase Protection Program (they will work like a third party in this transaction).I want to make the transaction in this way as in the past week a lot of people asked and made commitments to buy the bike and in the end nothing, they never came up or they didn't have enough money. So don't take me wrong and don't take it personally but I would prefer to secure the deal through eBay. Will be like a contract in which bouth sides will be covered. Also because the bike will be shipped from WA in other state I prefer to work with a third party in order to stay safe in this deal both of us . I will be sure you will buy the bike and you will be sure that will receives it! Basically the money wil be sent to them and they will keep the money until you will receive the bike and only after you will inspect and ride the bike they will forward the money to me.

If you have other questions feel free to email .
Respectfully,
Jack Vandegrift

It's a bullsh*t story. Oldest scam around. No way this ad is for real.

Ok Boys. I'm ready to play this one out being that I am in the Seattle area. I just called this guy and left a voicemail to call me back ASAP and that I will pay cash for the bike today if everything is exactly as he says it is. If he calls me back I'll meet him (with a buddy and armed) to see the bike. If it looks good, I'll insist on a few things. 1) That we have the bike checked out at a dealer, on my dime, to verify condition, odometer and warranty status. 2) That we do the deal at the Department of Licensing to assure that title is good and not salvage.

He will never call. But if he does, I'll play it out. Raining today anyway.

Hey Clint, lets go check it out. Unless he then tells you the bike is in some other state. The number comes up as a Seattle listing, just not an exact listing. The rain sure has us grasping for things to do......

You're on Jonny. I'm just doing some pick-up work around the house today so if he calls back I'll post it. I've left two voicemails now. Full cash offer, deal today. The guy has an interesting accent. Probably Ukranian or possibly Czech? So the bluff has been called by HD Forums and now it's time to show the cards. My guess is that he's got a 3 and an 8, off-suited, but we'll never know.
