Trade my Street Glide for a RKC?

Having gone from a Road King Classic to an Ultra I would not go back, the Ultra is just SO NICE! However, the Classic is the best looking bike Harley makes in my opinion. I guess I should have kept it but two bikes didn't make sense. I would probably be riding the Ultra all the time anyway and just look at the Road King in the garage. So I just took a picture of the RK and bought the Ultra!

Either way both bikes are nice. It's tough when you are standing in the showroom and all of the new bikes are lined up next to each other. I' ll take one of each please. Ultimately, I ended up getting the RKC and absolutely love it. It' s a real classy looking bike IMHO. This past summer, I did a 1500 mile trip and had a grin from ear to ear the whole way. Didn't really miss the tunes either. I am planning to purchase a Woody's fairing after the first of the year though. Then I can have three different ride options. In the end, go with what will make you happy.

I went from an FLHTC to the RK 'cause I "thought" I was getting tired of that big thing blocking the wind. Kept the RK and bought a Fat Boy and a V-Rod. And, fast forward to one year ago, I bought my Street Glide 'cause I missed the batwing and the gauges and the radio. Now, I only have my Street Glide and "am happy everafter."

I love my RKC for looks but mostly because I think they are more comfortable. Especially for two up riding. Also I just like to be different and it seems everyone has or wants a SG. If I couldnt have my RKC, Id go Road Glide just to be different and because the shark nose has really grown on me.

RKC not so bad
I too was back & forth between a SG & RKC but went with the RKC. I just got back from a 1500 mile trip and and get more impressed with the RKC on each long trip. I admit it would have been nice to have gauges on the fairing rather than look down at the tank while on the road but I see that as a small thing. For longer rides it looks one way, around town another, cruising the streets another. Next ride if I do it again will be the Ultra.

Alot of my friends have RK's. They all like them. I've ridden them but personally didn't like them, I had a 2001 FLHTCUI I loved, I had a 2007 FLHTCU that I didn't like because that thing had no power and I felt like I was riding a bus. Now I have a 2010 Road Glide Custom I really like. Rides better than both of the Ultras I had. Fun to ride. Buy the one you like, you might have to flip a coin.
