Just got my tour back

Very, very nice job and bike. Wish I'd have taken a welding class instead of that fourth year of French in high school back in the day; although, there were some cute girls in the French class and the teacher was smokin' hot.

[quote=Q Hog;5910801]Boeziff, that set up is great. You need to make me one of those brackets.. It looks great. I have to raise my T/P in the front and back atleast 1 3/4" to allow the the bags to open up.
Q, what rack are you using to mount the tour pak? I ask because that 1 3/4" dimension is way different from my experience mounting a King tour pak on an HD two-up detachable tour pak rack. The HD tour pak rack uses a chrome u-tube (included with the kit) between the tour pack and rack. I used automotive suspension rubber bushings between the U-tube (that was at the bottom of the tour pak) and the rack's top surface. I had several of the automotive bushings left over and measured one: it's about 5/8" thick. Even with thin stainless steel washers sandwiching the bushing, that's nowhere close to 1 3/4".
Good luck with your installation.

Pingman, I could be wrong on the exact measurements. I have the detachable T/P rack with the U tube.
Nova66, Its not mounted yet. I just have the holes drilled for the detachable rack, inserted the rubber molding and brought and drilled an aluminum base plate to support the T/P floor. Been kind of busy..
