Thanks for all of your advice. I will be buying the HD premium hinges tomorrow. The HD liner and locks does work with this T/P. I probably will be performing delicate surgery on the T/P this weekend! LOL! Wish me luck.

Casper- I wish a LED light was already install cause the back looks kind of empty. I probaby could affix one to it, but it probably won't be indented and flush like the HD T/P.

I've been looking at this aftermarket tour pack myself and the reason I haven't purchased one is that it is a chopped tour pack size. I have spoke with the manufacture and he does have future plans to make a full size tour pack in the near future.

Remember the difference is the bottom box, the lids are the same.

this may be a dumb question but why didn't you drill all your holes and do a mock fit up before u had it painted. I just dropped my fairing off yesterday at the paintshop, but I spent all day friday mounting it, installing radio, doing wiring, etc so when it comes back from paint, it's just plug n play. easier to fix a problem before paint than after?

ps... ur paint looks awesome and ur bike is a looker!
Wonder if he reviewed my aftermarket fairing threaded

Be sure to use the Tork bit on the hardware and not an allen wrench.

I went by the Stealer today to pick up the HD premium T/P hinges and just asked the service dept. what will it cost to install the hardware on my T/P, they said 2hrs; which is $200 once tax is added.. Thats crazy, thats almost what I paid for the T/P, so I will be at it this weekend..Just thought I'll share that!

What a hose job. I've done mine and it's about a 1/2 hour job and I'm an idiot. Really makes you wonder about the so-called techs.

Looks great. Have fun with the install. Measure twice drill once.

Yep, should've mocked it up before paint, but, you can still do a good job of installing the hardware given you use patience and measure very accurately. I don't know what brand pack you bought, but most have the locations "dimpled" if not partially drilled to use as a guide.

Good luck and show us pics when you're done. I'm envious, the bike's a real looker! Love the seat!

Nice paint Q hog. Iam courious to see what mounting youll be using with those cop bags. I just got a chopped tour pak for my 09 FLHP and due to the different way those saddle bags open spacers are needed on the mounting bracket so they dont hit each other. Iam just finding this out trying to mount my pak to the stock bracket.

Boneziff, I guess that maybe another problem I can add to the list. Let me know what spacers you use to rectify the problem.
