I went to a dealer about 60mi from me to look at an 09 RG they had. The salesman asked me why I wanted an 09 over a 10, I told him I didn't want to have a catalytic converter, too hot here in Phoenix. He says,"Only the CA bikes have cats", I said,"I'm pretty sure I read that all 10's have cats in the head pipe now. He then walks over to a 10 RK and says, "now I know the new RK doesn't have a cat". I didn't want to deal with him after that, a little too pushy for me. Am I wrong, the 10 RG does have cats, right?

With all the time they spend sitting in the showroom waiting for the next prospect to come in, you would think they would spend some of that time reading the MOCO literature about the scoots they are selling!

Just your typical flunky salesperson. There are a few that know what they're talking about, but very few.

 

He probably doesnt even know what a catalytic converter is.

 

I have found that most salespeople do not share the same passion and love for the motorcycles as most riders do. I guess its just a job to them instead of love for the bike.
