Another check on the 06 if you are really considering it . Is it Fuel injected or carberated? That said...my choice would be the 08. Brembo's without ABS are a huge improvement in braking. The 6 speed with the IDS is actually quiet compared to the 07 transmission whine. ...09's while they have a redesigned frame, they are taller than previous years...although they do have the 180 tire too. A friend just sold his 09 here in Michigan for $15000.

MY advice would be to look for an 09, and since they are a little over a year old now and the 10's have been out for a few months.
The 09 is the "FIRST YEAR" of the new frame and the last year of HD's w/out the Cat in the Head pipe. . I would look for one of those if I was you. I have one and absolutely love it. Need I say more?

JMO> i have an '07 Sg and my work bike is "08 EG police". I would go for the "07. Here are my reasons. On my "08, i can't stand the electronic throttle, there is a hesitation where i have to burp it all the time [especially when hot]. I do like the brembo brakes. they are the best braking system that harley came out with. I did the conversion to my "07. with the 5th gear whine- easy fix. pour in some redline trick shift. instant cure. I have had my "08 in the shop for warrant issue after warranty issue. My "07, i have not. It is the best running bike i had so far. I can afford a new bike but i like my '07 that much to never part with it. any other questions PM me.
