Default 2" fork drop

Anybody ever try a 2" fork drop on a street glide or any touring bikes?

I have the Progressive fork lowering kit and you can drop the front 1" or 2". They told me they really didn't recommend doing the 2" drop, but I have heard people do it with no issues.

Which fork drop kit did you use. No problem with the highway bar or the fender too close to the bottom tree?

It had a 1" Progressive when I bought it according to the service records that came with it. when I took the forks apart to get them chromed, I took it down another 1". Clearance hasn't been a problem...but then I try to be a little careful over bumps. The only issue I ever had was knocking the spring off the kickstand going over a speedbump a little too fast!

I just put the 2" Progressive kit on my RK yesterday. I have to be careful over some larger bumps, and I have to be more careful in the turns, as I scraped the boards even on stock height. Will keep you updated on the clearance issues. I think I might have bottomed out once on a hard hit in the road, we will see if it happens again........But I love it so far!!

I had a progressive kit on an older bike and had a lot of issues with the forks topping out. I have a 21" wheel and it jacked the front of the bike up so I'd like to get a 2" drop kit. I'm hearing mixed reviews....I've heard of guys hitting the bottom of the trees and others have dented the fender on the crash bar. I removed the crash bar already but I still have my concerns about hitting the bottom tree.

I have an 07 SG with Racetech installed in the frontend with a 2inch drop. Looks good, but rides terrible, but I have brutal roads here. I only wanted 1inch, but the tech cut the spacer wrong. I need to fix it this winter. I have not dented anything...and I probably bottom out once every 5 minutes of riding in town.
